Default 2002 TDI Jetta Code P1251

Hey everyone,

I've got an 02 TDI that runs like a beauty, but in the last couple of months the CEL has been coming on and going off pretty constantly. I had an oil change done today and I got the code read at the same time (Code P1251 - Start of Injection solenoid circ short to B+). I was wondering if anyone could give me some more information on what this exactly means and how soon I should fix it or if I should even worry about it because the car still runs perfectly. In the last 15000 km's I've gotten the T-belt changed, and put a new alternator in the car. The guy at the dealership told me half of the cars he works on have their CEL's on and most of the time it's nothing to worry about but didn't say much about my situation.

All of your help is much appreciated.

I can't tell much more than

VAG Error Code: 17659
EOBD II Error Code: P1251

Fault Location:
Fuel injection timing solenoid - short to positive

Possible Cause:
Wiring short to positive.

Which sound like a short on the feed have you checked for blown fuses?
