My airbag and door warning lamps stay lit on my 2002 gti 337. Anyone else have this problem?

 

i have a 2001vr6 my air bag light is on......obvisouly a fault in the air bag system i asked a guy at my local dealership if it was a big idea...he said that air bag had a possibility of going off on its own.......i doubt it would happen, plan on going to get it checked out this weekend ill post an update and let you know

 

yeah, i have the same issue with the airbag light, i took it in and they said that the entire seat belt assembly needed to be replaced for about $500. but he also said the airbag probably won't work and it may go off randomly.... so you may want to get it looked into
