2000 Jetta parking brake adjusment
 
I would like to know how to adjust the e brake on my jetta 2000 tdi:confused:

You will have to remove the console and jack up the rear of the car and with the e-brake disengaged loosen the adjusting nut until the levers on the calipers are back against their stops. Then tighten the adjusting nut until the levers are 1.5mm off the stops. You are looking for 4 to 7 clicks of the e-brake handle. Of course if it already clicks that many times you don't need to adjust it.
