Okay i am new here, i did do a search but i really dont know where to begin or what too look up... VW's are completely brand new to me, personally i am a honda fan and i work on honda's but i am exploring other feilds...

Okay just recently i got a 2001 VW GTI VR6, i traded my 1991 honda Civic Hatch for it.. so i think this may be a steal. the GTI has been in a wreck and i have read a some places that when the air bags go off its in "accident mode"

so the car is currently doing this... has power the whole way up until 3500 and doesnt want to docrap after that... i know it could be numerous of things but air bags deployed and never replaced and this accident mode thing has me think its it... the kid had some kind of tune program that will tell you everything wrong with the car apparently the program they use at the dealership and he said everything checks out... but this what he could be just telling me... sorry for all the bad grammar and stuff i am just rambling off the top of my head.
