I bet this question has been asked a million times. But how much arch work, if any, is requiered to put 17 inch alloys on a golf gti mark 2. I know that golfs look good with fat 15 inch wheels. But ive seen some great deals on 17 inch alloys. Any help would be much appreciated. cheers.

 

i have 17 inch alloys on my golf and i didn't have to any arch work, i would suggest that you do not lower the car more than 40 mm though else the wheel scrubs really bad against the arch. also make sure you have really low profile tyres i know this seems a bit obvious but my mate just put larger tyres on and that cost him.
