What engine type is it
 

I have an 07 plate Mk5 golf 125kw 170hp but have been told its a PD engine others have said its not, any one any idea how to tell what engine type it is.
Engine number starts BMN

A 2004-08 Golf 2.0 TDI PD is a PD engine its probably called a GT is 170PS, along with AVZ, BKD.
