hi

just turned on my v5 and suddenly heard a clicking sound, its clicking in park, and the light next to park is flashing, also when in neutral the light is flashing next to it, the engine management light has also come on, the car will move fine in reverse but sounds like it is wheel spinning in drive, all the lights on the dashboard have also gone out, showing what gear its in.

any help would be great

Well if the MIL light is on you need to get your motor scanned for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.
