the throw out bearing and the release bearing are the same thing if that is what you are geting at

So wait....I'm getting lost in translation. What does the crank have to do with shifting??

if the thrust is worn out when you push the clutch it moves the crank so you end up with the clutch and flywheel moving away from the throw out bearing and making it act like a loose cable

Thanks Jrailer. That was what I was trying to explain. But what I wanted to figure out is what can cause the thrust to get worn out and what can I do to prevent it again. Surely I don't wan't to put me in that pain again of removing the transmission and engine again. Any sugestions?

Sorry if I had to ask about what the throw out bearing. Termanology seems to differ from country to country.

So your talking about the thrust bearing? Really wish I could help on this, I'm realy gonna have to do some research. Maybe there's another name I know it by. I understand what "thrust" is....

LMFAO...ha ha ya got me. I meant to say I don't understand what he's talking about "thrust" with the crank. wow I should read what I write.

yawe went from thrust to T.O. bearings and back
he was trying to explane what was going on
the thrust bearing is one of the main bearings that keep the crank from moving sideways
