Stalling problem update

I brought my car in to my dealership after it stalled over and over at random three weeks ago today. The mechanic still can't figure out what is wrong with it because he hasn't been able to replicate the problem. That is, he hasn't had it stall on him in all the time he's had it. Again, my problem is that I come to a stop sign or stop light and the engine suddenly switches off. I can start it again, and it's fine. It happens very randomly. I can go without a stall for three days or six months, and any time frame in between. I'm not asking anyone here to diagnose the problem for me, but I sure would like to know why a VW dealership mechanic can't figure out the problem.

I have a 2.5-liter inline five.

That isn't an easy thing to find out considering a dealer can't find anything. This dealer has pugged in their equipment with no error codes showing.

I would plug in VAG-COM\VCDS cable and use VC-Scope to plot the signal from 4 components.

Please tell us your car spec in your signature

I would look at your fuel pump relay. I had problems stalling while driving my jetta. I replace the fuel pump relay and the stalling stop.

Ok are you going to tell how you fixed this problem that's what forums are for?

Sorry, I had a lot om my plate online at the time. It was the camshaft sensor and the ignition coil that had to e replaced. I had it fixed seven or eight times with no success before the check engine light came on, and that's how the dealership finally found the problem.
