Hello everyone,

I have a Golf Volkswagen 1997 GL, 2.0 liter automatic. Only 40k clicks.
Recently has check engine on and off, black smoke, and very rough idle. Shuts down on traffic lights, and and drive is not constant.

I drove in highway, maybe to make it work, no change.

I replaced sparks plugs and distributor cap. No improvement.

I have no idea what's wrong. I need help badly.

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

If you buy used make sure it is functioning correctly they fly by wire in 94 they had serious problem with the early pedals.actually very sooner i was going to get the throttle assembly out of 94 chevy.I'll have to pass that all along my friends around here who have 6.5s.
