Rad fan

I have a 2000 Golf and the rad fan I picked up for it was from a 2003 Jetta which i was told would fit in my car. Everything matched up except for the smaller of the two fans. It's one connector arm didn't line up but it still appears to work. I just wanted to see if anyone knows if I should find an exact replacement, which has been harder than you'd think lol, or if this one will be okay.

Thanks

Thank you for getting back to me. I had to put the new fans into the old rad fan housing. the fans were the same size but on of the three arms on the back of the smaller fan that you screw into the housing had one that did not line up so i just tied it on with heat resistant wire.

I hate to ask something else but it just happened tonight. I'm pretty sure my starter has been going and i think it went tonight as my car didn't even turn over for a few minutes then started normally. I'm just wondering if the starter is a very difficult thing to install on your own.

Thanks

You need to check out the starter circuit and fuses with a multimeter.

A little tip you could have a 109 relay in the fuse/relay box under the bonnet. This is the main feed to the ecu so sometimes it will crank over but it won't start. Its also common thing that goes faulty. Get a spare relay and keep it in the glovebox.
