problem: rain getting inside

I just bought a 2001 Golf, and have an issue now after the first rain.

I woke up this morning to water on the passenger side floor, just in the front. Everything else was dry, the door, the seat, the dash.. everything. I took it back to the dealer and the guy took a look at it.. said it was a problem with a drain hose being clogged up, a hose that runs from the sun roof down to near the front door hinges. He showed me the hose and when he played with it a bit it drained a bunch of water. He said it won't happen again and that the hose was just clogged a bit with some dirt.

My question is then... is this correct? Is there no problem? I don't know when it will rain again to test this, but I am just worried this is some other issue that he is not telling me about or is just not aware of.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

RE: problem: rain getting inside

This problem with the sunroof drain tubes are very common with golfs they block up with debry, to fix the problem and make sure this doesnt happen again you must cut the ends of the tubes off where they join at the ends if the dealer hasnt done it already.
