Question one fog light with day lights?

2014 Golf TDi. I noticed one fog light was on when wife was driving during the day. She did NOT have lights on, so only daylight running lights were on. When I turn fog lights on both fog lights light up. Is one (driver side) fog light suppose to be on when neither fog lights nor head lights are turned on?

Well that 2014 Golf should only have one rear fog lamp on the drivers side but if your in the US they don't have that so are you getting confused?

I am confused by your "one rear fog lamp on drivers side". 2014 5 door diesel USA. I am talking about the two little lights under the head lights, in the front grill. They come on when you, instead of turning the light switch to turn on headlights, you pull it out.

Oh you talking about the front fog lamp I was talking about the rear.

Yes I believe they do come on when you turn is called cornering fog lights. Cornering light, static

It can be enabled with VAG-COM\VCDS Enabling static cornering lights in the Volkswagen Golf Mark VI with factory fitted fog lights so I assume it can be turned off.

Cornering Lights via Front Fog Lights Active
