i have a 97 golf K2 edition, 1.8L gas manual.

hi, so i just got my oil pressure gauge installed, (removed the oil temp sender, and put in my new oil pressure sender so that i could keep the dummy light for testing purposes) basucally, when im at idol it is around 20psi, when the beeper goes off im at 2500rpm, and the gauge reads 50psi, when im around 3000rpm the gauge reads about 65 psi??? do these readings seem correct??? cause im planning to ground out the wire going to the original sender so that the beeping will forever leave me alone.

P.S. oh and, i installed the sender in the oil filter houseing where the oil temp sender usto be. Another guy i talked to said this would be ok, since they are all the same hole, but could i be getting a bad reading because of this?

 

some of the 1.8s needed to be around 100 psi may have a plugedpickup tube and oil pump going out
they dont buzz for nothing

 

well it has been buzzing for years so. ne1 else have any info on the psi for one of these things?
