just bought a 2002 1.4e golf and it was running absolutely fine for the first couple of days until i had a sudden jolt when driving and the engine light came on and there was a bad engine misfire. i left the car for a couple of hours and when i started it the engine light was off and the car ran fine.

i still got it plugged in and the code p0322 was on the system. the code was cleared and the car has ran fine for the last week or so until today when the same jolt happened, the engine light came on again and it is again misfiring.

anybody got any ideas or advice?

some people have said it could possibly be the engine position/crankshaft sensor? does this seem likely?
