Hi,

I have recently purchased a 99 Volkswagen Golf 1.9 TDI SE and for the life of me can't workout how to remove the fuel cap. After pressing the release button inside the car I then unlock the locking cap with the silver Key but the cap just spins and won't come off.

The manual gives no help either.

Please can someone put me out of my misery and prevent further embarrasement

I don't have experience with locking caps but, try pushing on it as hard as you can while turning it.
