HELP Golf FSI 1.6 06 plate

Has someone had an experiance similar to this.

I noticed that the traction control light on the dashboard was constantly on, I took it to the local garage they did an engine diagnostic test. They said you better take it to VW because it is showing that the ABS control unit is faulty (they also mentioned it was a common fault on Golfs), as its only a couple of months out of warranty and its only got 19,000 miles on it they will probably do it for free.

I took it to VW and they said they said thats £1500.00 thankyou very much. I protested so they got onto the goodwill people at VW, they said if i can prove that its got full service history VW will foot the bill.

I faxed them my Full service History and low and behold they still wont pay because VW say that the parts used in the services were not approved VW parts :mad::mad::mad::mad:!!!!!!!

Now i really really do not want to pay this 1500.00 (probably cant afford it to be honest) and i dont want to take it to my local garage to do it seem as they dont use "vw approved parts" im not sure where to go from here.

Just wondering if any one has had any similar experiances with the gits at the Goodwill department at VW and if anyone has any idea's where to go from here.
