Default Help Accident

Hi,

I am in Australia. I have a 2004 model Golf 2.o Generation. I really love the car, especially the handling.

Yesterday I was involved in a car accident, a Toyota 4X4 crashed into the side of my golf. Anyway there was some panel damage to the front quarter but more seriously for me is the steering.

The front wheels dont point straight and therefore the car was undrivable. In fact when the steering wheel is pointed straight, one front wheel (the side she hit) points outwards.

I am now worried she has seriously damaged the steering and it may not be as good as before. Does anybody know what kind of damage may have been done to the steering and whether it is expensive to repair ?

Any info would be really appreciated.

Thanks
