Go easy on me this is my 1st post.

My wife found a 97 golf HB VR6 with 68,000miles on it. standard shift. Very nice condition 1 owner.

What should I ask & what should I know as for maintenance.

When will the timing belt need replaced?Just need advice.

no t belt on a vr6
they have a chain that should last along time before it needs to be done

 

other than that just the useal stuff make sure the heat, ac, locks etc.. all work. look for fluid leaks & check to make sure it has all the fluids in it. other wise sounds like a good buy.
