Golf VII Oil Consumption

Could I get some advice please.

I am driving a 2013 Golf VII 1.4 TSI DSG which up until December last year had run flawlessly. My car went in for the 60 000km service in November which found no issues. Since then my car has suddenly started consuming oil. I am now at 73 000kms and I have personally put more than 10 litres of oil into my car.

It has been back to VW for two separate Oil Consumption tests which apparently fall below the threshold of 1000ml/1000kms. So they are not prepared to open the engine up and do anything further even though the car is still under warranty and has a full maintenance plan.

My question is, does anyone else find this approach absolutely ridiculous? There is clearly something wrong with my car and VWs answer is to wait for it to get worse before they will do anything.

Has anyone else had oil consumption issues with the Golf VIIs?

Thanks for your time

Welcome to the forum Brad. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../VWwelcome.gif

The 1000 miles per litre is the VW thrash only so there isn't much you can do.

If your not happy then contact VW customer services?

R84 000 worth of repairs neded

9 months after me first raising the oil consumption issue with VW and Barons Bellville ignoring it, my car now requires a cylinder head replacement and shims to be replaced in the DSG gearbox.

Quote of R84 000

And now my car is out of warranty because VW delayed as much as possible.
Even though I reported the issue within the warranty period they refuse to help.

I'm going to take this to the ombudsman.
