Golf 6 electrical issues since getting new key
 

I had a new remote key made a few weeks ago for my 2010 Golf 1.6 tdi. 3 days after getting the key I went to start my car and the engine was turning over but wouldn't not start. After quite a few tries it did eventually start. I plugged into the car and had several faults appear. I cleared the faults and After clearing them I began to have the ABS and Traction Control warning lights come on intermittently accompanied by 3 beeps from the dash. I've checked all fuses and disconnected fhe battery to see if it would make any difference and it didn't. I'm wondering if the guys who made the key could have done something that could have done anything to cause this. I'm bringing it into them soon to have a look, but would just like to have an idea of the possibilities before I do.
