Default Filling the clutch fluid on a manual transmission.

I have a 94 Golf, with a manual transmission.
So, I think I need more clutch fluid (Dot 4, Not gear oil 75w90) and I see there isn't a reservoir, so does is go straight in the transmission? It looks like the thing with the black cap.
Any input please would help please and thanks!

Hi
the clutch fluid is shared with the brake fluid reservoir. Do not add brake fluid to the transmission!

Th brake reservoir has only 4 lines that go to the brake calipers. There isn't anything that goes from the reservoir to the transmission.

For 84 it should have a separate fluid holder than the brake system. Its about the same size as a standard salt shaker with a black screw on lid with no wires protruding from the top. Its very near the brakes res.Free Online Books
