Door will not shut!
 

I have a 98 Golf GL, and my door suddenly stopped shutting...we have tried every possible thing we can think of...Its the drivers side door, and the car will still set the alarm, but even when it locks, you can just push/pull and it will come open. PLEASE HELP! Has anybody ever had this kind of freak problem before? Or does anyone know where to fix it at?

there is no order you have to do it in really, just make sure you get all the screws out and if it has power windows,locks make suce you unplug the wires.i had to replace a window in my jetta and after every thing was unhooked i just lifted the door pad strait up

oh dont forget to take off the door lock nob it just screws off

Lol I had the same problem long ago, Did someone play around with your door Cas maybe The the thing that locks the door got pushed up and jammed , At least that's what happened to me
