DashBoard indicator HELP
 

Sometimes in high speeds and during acceleration the yellow indicator with a symbol of an engine to it, lights up, for just some seconds then it turns off again. This is a new experience to me and the owners manual does not mention this indicator. Its a golf II 1988 1.8 cl (catalysed). I just want to know what the indicator is indicating.
