Default Cold Air Intake

For my birthday, some of my friends are getting me at Bomz Cold Air intake for my 2001 Golf 1.8T. Should I trust my friends and this Bomz brand? Or could this modification mess up my car, or make my warranty invalid? http://www.bomzracing.com/index.asp?...ROD&ProdID=816

As long as the filter looks like a pretty good one go for it. When you put it on it will be louder and sound like a blow off valve. Sweeeet!
