Hi Guys, not sure if I am on the right board to ask this but here goes anyway.

I have just bought a new head unit for my Mk 4 golf. The car came with a standard CD changer and I was told that i would be required to by a specified head unit that is compatable with a CD changer.
I did this yet when i disconnected my old stereo to install my new one, I found that the the plug from the changer in no way matched up with where it should plug into in the back of the head unit.
This because the the lead from the changer is rectangular and about 2" long whereas the slot on the back of my head unit (which is JVC for the record!!) where the changer is supposed to be connected is round and a lot smaller!!!

Can anyone tell me if it is still possible to connect it up?? Or do I now own a defunct Cd changer??
