Default airbag light on

just had my timing / h2o pump changed in my 2003 Golf 2.0 @ 62000 miles and know the airbag light is on. i was wondering if their is any elec. connections that could have come undone or hit when they did the work. i don't have the skimatics but i was hoping someone might know what or where to look for the potential issue. thanks from the newbeee.

Default RE: airbag light on

Im not sure if the jetta and golf have the same code but mine is on to andi was toldit means something is screwed up in your steering collum. If the airbag light is yellow your ok for now i believe. But if its red you need to get it fixed ASAP your airbags wont go off if your in an accident. I have been meaning to get mine fixed but im 80 miles away from the nearest dealership.
