I just bought myself a 1996 vw golf cl. My engine recently started to overheat. I thought that it might be the thermostat but i cant seem to find it. Where is it located ? and what other problems could cause the overheating ?

 

what size motor?? Usually it faces the firewall down on the back side of the motor, from what I've seen. but it depends on your year, or what size motor I would think.
