Hello, my 03 Golf, the base model, is blowing hot air at me. I went to recharge it and the pressure was well over the limit and halfway into the red area which read warning. I then emptied out the tank down to zero pressure and brought it back up to the blue line. Still no cold air coming out. I check all the fuses on the driver side door and all are in working order. I checked under the hood and found that the fan for the AC does turn on and off with the switch in the cab.

The only thing that is out of the normal is that my airbag light is on and that my car does no idle at the same RPM all the time. Sometimes it will maintain a low RPM for a while and other times it jumps up and down like a few small revs and stop and then do it again. The airbag light and the rev's have been happening since the winter and I just noticed the AC since we had our first hot day here in Minnesota yesterday.
