1993 VW Golf GLS
 

Hi all, Just bought myself a 1993 VW Golf GLS for $500. I have for a long while been wanting one. Its a little rough but things that can be fixed and her eis the list of whats wrong with the car:Driver side fender and headlight damage ( the fender and whole healight assembly need to be replaced)
Leaking oil form the Valve cover.
The sunroof (on the driver side the sunroof will not drop down, like something is in the track keeping it from dropping down.)
Seem like a problem with the heater core,( not totally sure on the details but fom the looks of it from the firewall, the core seems to be pushed in, the piped coming through the the firewall look like they are not straight through and not straight)
The Speedometer and Tach are not working(LCD wont come on when the car is running and tach isnt working when the car is running)
The hatchback wont latch shut( I can close the hatchback but the latch wont keep the hachtback locked down)I can fix all of the problems but the hatchback is the one that got me stumped. When I lock the car I hear a humming sound coming from the back passenger side of the car by the back taillight, ie it is locking the all of the doors. Is that supposed to also lock the hatchback??

Yes, that's the motor making that sound. I'd say a rod has come loose somewhere.
