1.9 tdi performance
 

Hi..

Iv just bought a 1999 Voltwagen Golf 1.9 TDI GT. Was only the other day when I got it on the motorway that it started to get me thinkin that I may well not be gettin the full potential out of it. It doesnt seem to pull too brill and I could only seem to get it to about 85mph flat out.Is this about right? As iv looked at the spec and it says I should be gettin 120mph and 0-60 in just over 10 secs.Im defo not gettin this..

If my Golf is under performing does many one know what might be the problem??

What mileage has it done,probably has galactic miles on it.

Its done 116,000 miles, but just to let anyone know that clicks on here with the same problem, its sorted now and goes like fook!!! really does go well!..All it was was a nackered Air Mass. You have your Air Filter and just after that you have a connection on the filter that has a unplugable lead comin of it, this is to send data to the ECU tellin it how much air/fuel mix to produce.Obviuosly this wasnt workin so wasnt injecting how it should which resulted in very poor performance..

Was an easy job that took about 20 mins to do and the part was about £60..Its like a whole new car now..well happy :-)
