Hi everyone, i just rectently bought my first car. of course i went with a VW i'm just wondering about mod to add to it... right now it's a stock 1.8t with a K&N fliter, i heard cold air dosen't do much. i was think maybe ram air but considering it's a black car i figer it wont pick up much cooler air. so i then shifted more to sticking with just the computer/intercooler combo... prolly a good pick up in horse and i good drop in gas economy. post your thoughts i'm open to any suggestions. ttyl

Cool air or ram air, what's the difference, the engine will know the difference but you wont feel a thing. The color of
the car doesn't matter at all. Black wont change the air
flow from the grill area. The computer thing will do the best
increase of power and lower the fuel mpg a bunch, The best
thing is get a car with a bigger engine to start with.

Car looks good. I have a GIAC tune that i had done a H20I this year and it didnt hurt my gas milege any i still get over 30mpg. I have Cold air intake, 2.5 TT downpipe and Eurospec exhaust and XS manifold. Some other mods to. But the Tune you should do for sure big gains in power. I raced my buddies Mazdaspeed that he has some work done to and he use to beat me now im just a little quicker that him. On a 2001 would be a big increase in Hp. I had mine done by Inducktion Motorsports in Baltimore. You could send them your ecu and they would program it and send it back. Very professional group.
