01 golf 2.0L Check Engine Light hell
Hey guys
So I have a problem, to make a long story short I had 8 codes come up at AutoZone today. First four codes are "Cylinder Injector circuit low" (P0261, P0264, P0267, P0270) Then the next four codes are: 1. P0445 - EVAP circuit shortened 2. P1296 - Cooling system malfunction 3. Secondary Air Injection "A" circuit 4. H02S heater control circuit Now after hours of online searching the most interesting thing I found was a problem I have also been having that might help with what is going on. While driving on the freeway, my car will start to decelerate and the gas pedal will become unresponsive for 2-5 seconds. After I tap the gas pedal a couple of times, it will go back to normal. This is all pretty overwhelming sense all I went in for today was a tune up. Could anyone help? Thank you for your time. |

VAG Error Code: 16645 EOBD II Error Code: P0261 Fault Location: Injector 1 (N30) - Circuit Low/Short Circuit to Earth Possible Cause: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active. Engine Misfire. Engine Run Rough. Low MPG. Fuse(s). Wiring/Connector(s) short to earth. Injector 1 (N30). Engine Control Module (ECM). Possible Solutions: Check/Replace Fuse(s). Check/Replace all faulty Wiring/Connector(s). Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB). Signal current < 2.1 A. When is the code detected?: Code P0261 is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects a low voltage in the Fuel Injector 1 Circuit. During normal conditions the Engine Control Module (ECM) turns the Fuel Injectors ON and OFF in the Fuel Injection System. The same goes for the other injectors only a different injector number. VAG Error Code: 16829 EOBD II Error Code: P0445 Fault Location: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Control Valve (N80) - Short Circuit Possible Cause: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active. Wiring/Connector(s) short circuit. Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Control Valve (N80). Engine Control Module (ECM). When is the code detected?: An excessively high voltage signal is sent to Engine Control Module (ECM) through the valve. Description: The Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Canister Purge Volume Control Solenoid Valve controls flow rate of fuel vapour from the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System canister. The opening of the vapour by-pass passage in the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System canister purge volume control solenoid valve changes to control the flow rate. The Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System canister purge volume control solenoid valve repeats ON/OFF operation according to the signal sent from the Engine Control Module (ECM). The opening of the valve varies for optimum engine control. The optimum value stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM) is determined by considering various engine conditions. When the engine is operating, the flow rate of fuel vapour from the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System canister is regulated as the air flow changes. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve uses a ON/OFF duty to control the flow rate of fuel vapour from the EVAP canister. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is moved by ON/OFF pulses from the Engine Control Module (ECM). The longer the ON pulse, the greater the amount of fuel vapour that will flow through the valve. VAG Error Code: 17704/004758 EOBD II Error Code: P1296 Fault Location: Error in Mapped Cooling System Possible Cause: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active. Cold start issues. Low coolant level. Wiring/Connector(s). Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62) faulty. Coolant Thermostat faulty. Possible Solutions: Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB). Check Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62). Check Coolant Thermostat. Special Notes: Check the stored Freeze Frame data with this fault code. Freeze Frame information will be found in the fault code description (if the module supports it) or in Generic OBD-II if the vehicle complies with those regulations. Freeze Frame data stored at -40*C is generally an indication of a faulty Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62) or wiring. Freeze Frame data stored at +140*C is generally an indication of a faulty Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62) or wiring. Freeze Frame data stored with in the 68*C - 80*C range is an indication that the vehicle was close to, but not within, the cooling systems normal operation range. The Thermostat itself or Cooling system components may be at fault. There are 62 error codes for Secondary Air and 155 for oxygen sensor which one?
