Eos owner new to forum
I have a 2007 Eos with only about 65,000 miles on it and it is in great condition. However, I have a simple issue and I am guessing someone out there knows the answer. I had service done recently (not by VW) and need to get rid of the annoying message 'Service Now'. I followed the owners manual instructions to the T involving the trip odometer and MIN button for the clock adjustment and the message still keeps popping up?

Have you Googled this and where do you live?
On US cars this can be done by the owner. It is in our owner's manual. Pg 12 of Booklet 3.1 Controls and Equipment: With the ignition off press and hold the (0.0) odometer trip reset button -> Switch the ignition on -> Let go of the (0.0) button and, within 20 seconds, briefly press the (MIN) clock reset button -> After a short time, the screen switches back to the normal display. The reset mode is canceled if the (MIN) button is not pressed within 20 seconds, or if the vehicle is driven before resetting is complete. Tips: Do not reset the service interval function between scheduled maintenance intervals; doing so will result in an incorrect display.< If the time is right after the service before too many miles have accrued, then the tip can be ignored. I would recheck your owner's manual first to see if this is shown. I have done this and it does work. Please tell us your car spec in your signature |
I live in US, Chicago area. Your reply is the procedure right out of the owners manual which I followed precisely and it did not work.
I'll try again and if no luck I may have to take it to the dealer but that is a pain to do and I would prefer to avoid if possible. What is VAG-COM\VCDS ?? |
VAG-COM is the old name that was change to VCDS in 29 May 2008. Its a diagnostic tool for VAG vehicles its the best tool you will ever buy. VCDS
I mean a genuine VCDS cable not a cheap Chinese cloned cable of fleabay. |
