DSG transmission leak

Hi all, first time posting, I have a 07 EOS with automatic DSG trans with 210K miles. It's leaking fluid from somewhere underneath but nothing is obvious. My son was driving the car and the cv axle somehow came unbolted from the shaft it connects to. He said he noticed a puddle of fluid of some kind underneath the car(not sure what color it was). We put a new cv axle back in and saw no signs of any fluid leak. Week later the car is having trouble shifting and there is lots of fluid on the bottom of the car. I cant find any source of the leak. Nothing on top is leaking, nothing from where the cv axle connects, just fluid on the bottom of the trans, control arm area and underside. I can see the red color in it now. Any help would be appreciated.
