windshield replacement

Have a 1990 Cabriolet and am replacing the windshield as well as the gasket. The new gaskets are press in and the windshield from fast glass is glue in. Anyone know how to overcome this. Folks where I bought the new gasket said they have never had any trouble before.

Since your windshield is glue-in and the gasket is press-in, the best approach is to use a lubricant like soapy water or a window-specific lubricant to slide the gasket over the glass carefully. Work slowly around all edges to avoid tearing the gasket or cracking the glass. Proper alignment and patience are key, and if it feels too tight, consulting a professional installer is recommended to prevent leaks or damage.
