Throttle Bodies

I have a 2001 Cabrio with 124K miles. At 68K it was running rough and check engine light was on. Dealer said it needed a new throttle body. $900 later the new throttle body is installed and all is well. Until 124K miles. More rough running. More check engine light. Dealer says I need ANOTHER new throttle body! Does this make any sense? Has anyone else had these sort of problems?

I am considering putting in a new one myself. Anyone here done that? Anyone know whereI can pick up a cheap throttle body?
Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.

This is my first post.

Thanks,
Mike

RE: Throttle Bodies

Do you have a scanner to access the codes to see if they are telling the truth? If not you can pick one up for about $60. Go to ecstuning.com for a throttle body.
