Oil Sensor??? 92 Cabriolet

Hello everybody,

So I had a machanic look at my car because the oil light is blinking in my dash. He said it was oil sensor and that I can go to AutoZone and buy one for $6 or so. He also said it is very easy to replace. I looked at the autozone site for the so called sensor but I have no idea what it looks like or where it goes in the car.
I did go to german auto parts and all I saw was an oil pressure switch and an oil temprature sensor, but I'm not sure if that is what he really talking about, and if so which one. He has been too busy for him to respond to my calls and texts. I'm placing an order through german auto parts so I'd like to add that on there.
I am taking his word on it because he does devote his time to working on a lot of vw's.

Every response is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I just had to replace the oil pressure sensor on my 98 Cabrio. Same story, leaking oil like crazy. It is on the driver's side of the engine, in the end of the head, just under where the valve cover bolts to the top of the head. It has a single wire connection and on mine the sensor was blue.

It is very easy to replace.

I hope this helps.
