Default new to VW help.

I just picked up a pretty sweet 86 cabriolet for a song ,but I have a few questions hopefully you guys can answer. The first is where does the vacuum canister hook up to? mine was just laying in the car. second is there supposed to be a hole in the top of the air box between the gas distribution spider and the air intake. third what is supposed to hook to the nipple on the air box tube. Forth can someone send me a picture of the area where the fuel pump is under the car mine is kinda a mess of zip ties. Thank you everyone for your help in advance. A flat head screwdriver points to my issues. loose vacuum canister
nipple of side of airbox
hole in airbox
