Need A Diagnosis!
 

Hey - I have a 1992 Cabriolet. Lately I am having some trouble and can't seem to identify the problem. It is missing to the point of almost dying, but only when it rains. It can also be triggered by hitting a bump. I have actually had it die in the middle of the road in a rain storm before. I have replaced the distributor cap and fuel filter. No change - any information that anyone might have would be SO appreciated. Thanks.

Because it happens in the rain the first thing that comes to mind is the spark plug wires. When they get old their insulation gets bad and they can arc and lose juice. Does your car have an engine check light? Does it yield a code?
