Hi all,

I just bought my first car, it's a 91 Cabrio convertible. I dont know anything about cars. If you pop the hood, attached to the inside of the hood there is a black square shaped container thing with a little plastic pipe that goes down the hood and attaches to something in the engine.

I have no idea what the thing is... i've been trying to identify all the different parts in the motor by looking at diagrams of motors but i cant figure out what that box is. A freind of mine who knows a lot about cars checked it out and he doesnt know what it is either. It looks like someone put it there, it doesnt really look like it was always part of the car.

Does anyone have any idea what it may be? I really want to know!
