How to repair rear view mirror?
 

Please help. I just bought 2000 Cabrio. The rear view mirror is detached from the glass, and in two parts. I cannot figure out how to get the base that attaches to the glass to snap back into actual mirror. I've tried to force the ball into the hole in the mirror housing, but nothing happens. I'm also afraid if I push too hard the mirror will break. Is re-attaching the two parts even possible? :confused:
