Car sputtering ... Need help!! plz

i have a 95 cabrio that i bought from a neighbor it sat for about 6 months because the ignition coil went out and the neighbor didnt want to pay to get it fixed. i purchased one off ebay and put it in and the car ran. it started to sputter really bad and i took it to a mechanic he changed the fuel filter water pump timing belt plugs and wires it ran like a champ for 2 months then the sputter came back. i dont understand i have put countless number of lucas fuel treatment bottles in the tank and it still sputters the throttle body has been cleaned and a new air filter. does anyone have any suggestions on this? thank you for your time

First thing I would do is go back to the mechanic and demand that he fix the issue. He charged you a lot of money for doing what he did and his work should be guaranteed for a year. And, since he didn't fix the problem that you asked him to fix, he should either complete the task without further charges or he should give you your money back. If he doesn't agree to either, small claims court pops into mind.

Sorry, I can't address the issues you are having but I was appalled that no one had yet replied to your inquiry. Hopefully, joining this forum was not a waste of time for either of us.
