Default always something

I just had my car in the shop on Saturday for an oil change and just wanted my mechanic to check the clutch, felt like it was catching later than normal. Well it is....he quoted me at $800-$1000 to replace it all. Does this quote seem accurate to replace the whole clutch? I am so done with VW's after this!!! I have put $2000 in it since August. Its becoming a headache!

Do your quotes include the fly wheel? He said the labor was going to be $500 alone. Am I getting screwed?

well I'm good in with one of the Tech's so he threw in a light wieght flywheel, and replaced the whole clutch and throw out bearing, everything, and did the labor all for $700. Not bad I think since it's VW
