Default 87, cabrio will not go into gear, and has a lot of play in the clutch.

I bout it this way. The clutch was replaced, I replaced the cc, but I've got way to much play in my peddle. It's like the clutch won't disengage. I was thinking the clutch plate got put in wrong or something. If you have any info, please let me know. Thank you so much.
