86 cabriolet just died

I have been working on my 86 cabriolet for a few months now. I thought I finally had it almost all good and road worthy. I have driven it for the past two weeks to school and around town and put probably 300 miles on it or so. The two things that I knew I needed to fix were to put new thicker oil in it since the 5w 30 leaks from the valve cover. I also needed a new fuel pump relay since the one in it currently is the wrong one and never shuts off the pumps. So on my way to the autozone to purchase these things, it died on me. I dropped of my sister and when I went to start it again, it turned over, fired, then stalled. It started right up this morning when I left the house. After that, nothing. It will run for two seconds and then die. Holding the throttle down doesn't change anything. What could have happened between now and three days ago when it ran fine?

I forgot to mention, last Friday, the last time I drove the vehicle, there was a huge fresh oil spot on the driveway as well as another fluid which I believe to be gasoline after it had been idling for ten minutes.

I was having a similar issue with engine dying without rhyme or reason. In my case the fuel pump was on it's way out as well as the fuel pump relay due to age was undependable. Replaced both and life is good. I found Bosch and Beck Arnley parts on Amazon at excellent prices. I have a prime membership so 2 day free shipping was a bonus.
