81 cabriolet won't start.
heylo: My 81 cabriolet, 1.7 litre, CIS won't start. I bought several years ago as a non runner. I got it running good, and then last summer it just died while driving. I replaced the fuel pump and relay, and still no wrrrrr sound from the pump, won't start. Research from the Internet told me to run a jumper wire from the control pressure regulator positive to positive on battery. Well, it Started right up. So , where do I go from here? Any advise would be appreciated. Larry |

Default Welcome to Volkswagen Forum - Rules & Recommendations Have long is a piece of string? That's why you Goggled and joined this forum. Its could be loads of things. You need a wiring diagram for your motor to check all wiring & connectors. 81 models can't use VAG-COM\VCDS without the 2x adaptor . |
