27 Years Now....Restore or Sell?
I bought an '86 brand new from the dealer almost 27 years ago, and have put 298,000 miles on it. Original top (now in shreds), original paint, original engine and trans, original Recaro pinstriped seats also now in shreds.
It's about time to either restore the thing or let 'er go to someone that can appreciate the vehicle.
I'm driving other cars as my daily drivers and travel vehicles, so the Cabriolet mostly sits and deteriorates.
Drives just fine, newer tires, brakes, etc. and maintained well.
Never even checked into what I could get for it, or what a new top and seats would run.
Any quick ballpark ideas on current value or cost to put on new top and seats?
Blue/Blue, alloy wheels, Best Seller package. Complete records including receipts from original sticker to all maintenence performed.

Welcome to the forum.
There are sites that restore Beetles just Google them.
You have to find out roughly what its worth at the moment. How much its going to cost to restore it then work out if its worth it.
