1986 Cabriolet air intake/exhaust
I'm new to all of this and don't know what kind of kits to look at for my cabriolet. any tips?

I can't find any intakes or exhausts for your car. They would have to be custom.
|
thanks! where can i check out custom exhausts? Magnaflow, etc? And for the intake I'd want a cold air intake or just a non stock intake?
|
I found an exhaust for you and I think what most people do with Cabrios is just take the top of the air cleaner off and drop in a K&N filter. I think you could also get a universal cone type K&N filter from their website that matches the same diameter of your intake tube and stick it on the end. On the exhaust you may get a better deal if you go to an exhaust shop and have them make you one.

This is great! thank you! i would have never been able to find this, i'll see what i can do now, thanks again:)

So with the air intake, can the cone tip filter be used on the air intake in conjunction with the drop in filter? i think i found the right diameter cone tip filter with K&N
|
No, you would remove the air box and then put the cone filter on the end of the intake.
|
Got any idea on what would be best? drop in filter or cone-tip filter?
thanks |
I'm not familiar with your engine bay layout but, the cone filter does let in more air. It would really be what suits the air box space best.
|
okay, thanks again i'll see what i can do
