What is this called ?
 

Can anyone tell me what you call the big metal tubes that mount to your car and force air into the car ? I've seen them on vintage VWs and I have a chance to buy one, I just don't know what they are called. This one has no name on it ? I've seen the "bee catchers" and they are different then this one. This one is a big metal cannister that you mount ot the car and air is forced in when you drive. There is also a cord you can pull to open it or close it. Very very cool ! Thanx for any info.

it just like an air intake extension that goes to the open air. don't know any other specific names, hopefully that what your talking about. other than that, i have no clue
